Submission Guidelines

The following section provides guidelines for submitting materials to Legion Films, LLC.  Please read and follow them carefully.  

Cast Submissions

  1. We do not return headshots, resumes or demo reels. 
  2. All casting submissions are kept on file for an indefinite period of time and are reviewed for casting consideration for each Legion production or a production by its subsidiaries.
  3. We accept both email and mail submissions.    
  4. Email submissions should consist of a cover letter, resume and headshot(s).  Please email your submission package to the attention of Marc Dube, VP of Production, at:  casting@legionfilms.com .
  5. Mail submissions should consist of a cover letter addressed to Marc Dube, VP of Production, along with a resume and headshot(s).  Please mail your hard copy submission package to: Legion Films, Attention: Casting, 4 Windham Drive, Simsbury, CT 06070
  6. We do appreciate demo reels.  Please submit them with your mailing package.  They will be kept on file and reviewed for each production.  We do not return demo reels.
  7. Important Note!  It does help potential cast members to keep track of our production schedule via this website and to email us (casting@legionfilms.com) that you are out there and are interested in our upcoming productions. 
  8. Since we keep your information on file for an indefinite period of time, it is a good idea to send us any updates to be included in your file. 

     

Crew Submissions

  1. We do not return demo reels or resumes or anything that you may send us as consideration for a position on our film crews.   
  2. All crew submissions are kept on file for an indefinite period of time and are reviewed for each Legion production or for a production by its subsidiaries. 
  3. We accept both email and mail submissions.
  4. Email submissions should consist of a cover letter and resume.  Please email your submission information to the attention of Robert Maffeo at: crew@legionfilms.com .
  5. Mail submissions should consist of a cover letter addressed to Robert Maffeo along with a resume and demo reel (if possible) and should be sent to: Legion Films, Attention: Crew Submissions, 4 Windham Drive, Simsbury, CT 06070
  6. Demo reels are highly regarded as part of your submission package.  Send them if you have them!
  7. Important Note!  It does help potential crew members to keep track of our production schedule via this website and to email us (crew@legionfilms.com) that you are out there and are interested in our upcoming productions. 
  8. Since we keep your information on file for an indefinite period of time, it is a good idea to send us any updates to be included in your file. 

Screenplay Submissions

  1. We do not return short-length or feature-length screenplays.  Do not send us your only copy!
  2. We accept both short-length and feature-length screenplays for potential production by Legion Films and/or its subsidiaries.
  3. It may take up to 2-6 months for a reply on your screenplay.  The length of time depends upon our production schedule and the volume of submissions.  Please be patient! 
  4. All screenplays are kept on file for an indefinite period of time and are reviewed annually by the Legion Acquisitions & Development Team for production “green lights.”
  5. All screenplays must be submitted using a professional script format that can be found in script formatting programs like Final Draft or various screenwriting software, books and magazines.   
  6. Please mail your screenplay package that will include a professionally formatted screenplay and cover letter addressed to Michael O’Connor, VP Acquisitions & Development at: Legion Films, Attention: Screenplay Acquisitions, 4 Windham Drive, Simsbury, CT 06070
  7. You may contact us for questions regarding your screenplay submission package at:  screenplays@legionfilms.com
  8. We accept email submissions for short-length screenplays only, although it is preferred to send a hard copy to us as well.  We do not accept email submissions for feature-length screenplays.  Please mail your submission package to us for consideration. 
  9. Important Note!  It does help to keep updated of our production schedule via this website and to email us reminders (screenplays@legionfilms.com ) indicating your interest in having your screenplay reviewed. 

Film Submissions

  1. Legion Films does not return any completed short-length or feature-length films.  Do not send us copies that you want back!
  2. We accept film submissions on both DVD and VHS formats.  DVD’s are preferred - they are easier to store in our files. 
  3. It may take up to 2-6 months for a response on your film(s).  The length of time depends upon our production schedule and the volume of submissions.  Please be patient!     
  4. Legion Films and its subsidiaries accept submissions for completed short-length and feature-length films for potential distribution, for sale in our online store or for special packaging as a “bonus film” on a Legion DVD.
  5. We accept completed films only.  We do not provide finishing funds. 
  6. Please mail your film submission package that includes your completed film(s) on DVD or VHS and a cover letter addressed to Michael O’Connor, VP Acquisitions & Development to: Legion Films, Attention: Film Acquisitions, 4 Windham Drive, Simsbury, CT 06070
  7. All completed films are kept on file for an indefinite period of time and are reviewed annually by the Legion Acquisitions & Development Team for potential consideration for inclusion in DVD packages and distribution.

  9. Important Note!  It does help to keep updated of our production schedule via this website and to send us an email reminder (films@legiuonfilms.com ) that you are interested in having your film(s) reviewed. 

Music Submissions

  1. We do not return any CD/DVD’s or music submitted on other formats.
  2. Legion Films and its subsidiaries are always seeking original music created by bands, composers, singers, producers or by other musical artists and groups.
  3. The music may be used as part of the original film score and/or by use on the film soundtrack CD.
  4. All music is kept on file for an indefinite period of time and is reviewed for use in each production by the Legion Acquisitions & Development Team.  We prefer submissions to be on CD or DVD - they are easier to store in our files.
  5. It may take up to 2-6 months for a response on your submission.  The length of time depends upon our production schedule and the volume of submissions.  Please be patient!

  8. Important Note!  It is helpful to keep updated of our production schedule via this website and to email us (music@legionfilms.com ) of your interest in having your demo CD/DVD reviewed for an upcoming production.     

   
General Submissions

  1. If you have a talent that does not fit into any of the above categories you may follow our general submission guidelines.
  2. We do not return any submitted materials. 
  3. Depending on the type of submission it may take up to 2-6 months for a response.  The length of time depends upon our production schedule and overall volume of submissions.  Please be patient! 
  4. Your submission information is kept on file for an indefinite period of time and is reviewed annually by the Legion Acquisitions & Development Team.
  5. You may send email submissions or ask questions about your submission package at:  submissions@legionfilms.com .
